Is it random now? It could be a glitch in the forum, or it could just be a lack of memory on your part. Maybe that was the avatar you put in, but forgot that you changed it? Idk, I doubt anyone is changing your avatar...

God or War 2. The game just owns in gameplay. Lots of combos, enemies, puzzles, bosses, etc in it. The storyline is some of the best in gaming, and the graphics are phenomenal for a PS2 game.

I've played Devil May Cry and I didn't really like it... Of course #2 is supposedly the worst in the series, but there was virtually no story and the gameplay was boring...
That game owns yet i have never experienced it, and actually maybe my pick was wrong. Anyway it's still a good game, and well i have never played the first game Timothy, so i have no clue.
First game Timothy? Who's Timothy? Anyway... it is pretty good. PS2s are cheap now though, so you might consider getting one and try out the games you missed on it. ;)

Chevrolet will have first 100 mpg vehicle!!
Well they would have to. Rating an electric vehicle on gas standards wouldn't make much sense. Not to me anyway... 40 miles on no gas is quite impressive in my book. ;) Plus it doesn't look boring compared to other gas friendly vehicles.

Sony expands PSN cards
Takes time to manufacture it and get them into stores. They've been out, it's just now they're coming to bigger retail stores. Once I get some cash, I'll be on this. Can't wait to play Crash on my PSP. I haven't played that game in forever!

Sony expands PSN cards
Stealing what? No... Why does it have to be compared to XBL and what makes you think they're charging a lot??? I don't see how you could have pulled any of that out of the article.

It's a card(similar to a gift card) so you can buy things without a credit card. Pretty simple, everyone's doing it.

Haven't got a PS3 yet? Go get one now!!
Profits don't matter, if the consumer is benefiting from it. PS3 will live on for 8 more years, no doubt long after 360 and Wii have been discontinued with their new consoles being sold(Playstation Systems always last 10 years), and it'll be making a profit then and probably this holiday. They have said they are close to turning a profit.

Meh.. Nintendo is coming back with no soul. GameCube was way better than the lackluster Wii. Ok ok, it has some good games, but Nintendo is focusing mostly on peripherals shaped like guns/etc. What are they going to do next gen? They can't do the same thing, because it'll just be seen as an old idea that they've already done. Will they invent a new controller? They'd have to, to keep any interest in them.

Game of the Year?

Indeed it doesn't have to be the first to be awesome.. but that one feature doesn't make it completely extraordinary. First off, when it comes to map making both the Wii and 360 have games that have at least limited map making capabilities (SSBB = extremely limited Halo 3 = I have been able to recreate almost ANYTHING in it) so yes.. the competition DOES have it in a way. And as for making money based on user created content.. Microsoft has been doing that for about one and a half years now through the Xbox Live Arcade. LBP takes it to a new level but it isn't a game that "sells" the PS3 for me.

Gears 1 beat the living crap out of Resistance 1 and I don't see how the tide could have tremendously changed just because both tacked 2's on. I saw people playing Resistance and while I think it looks good and plays good (look moderately fun) Gears DID look better, so the all mighty graphical power of the PS3 is trumped by the 360 again. I will admit I'm slightly bias since I only played Gears, but my opinion stands and I acknowledge yours. I doubt it will have to do anything with big pockets as it is.. all though that's all I hear from people.. "Microsoft only wins because it throws cash at things.." I think when 360 games win things.. it's because they actually DESERVE the award(s) in question.

I will doubt peoples sanity if MGS4 wins.. that was so boring.. and it was more an interactive movie than a game, IMO. GTA4 (as stated) is just a fancier looking GTA that I thought looked and played very sloppy, just turning around is a pain in the ass. I would much rather play San Andreas since it is BIGGER more DYNAMIC, and is much more fun overall, complete with a story on or above 4's level.

Fallout 3.. Bethesda.. a.k.a. FROM THE MINDS BEHIND Morrowind and Oblivion.. if that game isn't considered heavyweight then nothing really could be...

While awards races are fueled by hype e.t.c. generally the game of the year is at least guaranteed to be dependable, as is any other game considered for the title. And we have a full slate of hopefuls coming this Holiday season that I plan to get my hands on.. I don't care who wins.. since I will be happy in playing all the ones on the 360 and Wii. <3

Ok so some 360/Wii games have had it already, not to the extent of LBP, no where close or even similar. LBP will definitely be selling PS3s.. In fact people are already buying PS3s for the game, but being a system seller doesn't make the game any better than it would be if it didn't sell systems.

Gears 1 beat the living crap out of Resistance? LOL, no way... I'll admit the first gears was better, but that's not to say Resistance wasn't great. Resistance beat the living crap out of Gears in terms of weapons though. As for things not changing? Resistance 2 has tremendously changed. The way I see it, Insomniac is a way better developer than Epic, which just makes shooters that all look the same in art style. Insomniac has taken all of the criticism of the first game to heart and improved everything people wanted changed while adding awesome stuff like incredible bosses and loaded it with more features than any other shooter out there. While Gears 2 looks great, it doesn't seem like it has improved much and R2 just looks like more fun and longer lasting with more features and story modes.

Gears did look better. So what? It was insomniac's first try on PS3. A second gen 360 game beat a rushed launch PS3 game? Oh big whoop. If you knew anything about Insomniac, you'd know that their first game is just to get the engine working well then they improve the graphics. That's why Ratchet and Clank 2 blew away the first one in graphics and that's why Resistance 2 blows away R1 in graphics. Ted Price(Pres. of Insomniac) already addressed why Gears looked better, it's because Gears streamed textures off of the disc and Resistance preloaded them into the ram which has been fixed with Ratchet and Clank and R2.

MS does have big pockets. How do you think Halo became so overhyped? While shooters that were just as good went unnoticed? MS is known for viral marketing, why do you think they won't throw some money around to sway an opinion of their game?

MGS4 having tons of cutscenes is true, but I loved it. It was like a movie and a game combined with awesome gameplay. The gameplay is truly "Next Gen" whereas, imo, 98% of the games released so far are just PS2 games with updated graphics.

Can't argue with you there on GTA4, but people love it and that's enough for it to win plain and simple. Even if it's not really the best game released in the year.

Haven't got a PS3 yet? Go get one now!!
The only decline in sales was due to the usual "summer = not much and holidays = cram everything in" and hasn't been steady either. PS3 will easily match the "lower priced" console's sales this holiday, because the demand is high with tons of games coming out it's enough for people not willing to buy one yet to finally get one. Probably won't sell as well as the Wii though...

Btw, it's not Sony dropping the price, it's Blockbuster and Sony isn't the only one to lose money on a console. The original Xbox never made a profit and I'm pretty sure the 360 is still losing money for Microsoft. Nintendo's the only one that doesn't price their console lower than it's worth.

Chevrolet will have first 100 mpg vehicle!!
Sept. 26 (Bloomberg) -- General Motors Corp. said it reached a preliminary agreement that clears the way for U.S. regulators to certify the Chevrolet Volt, an electric vehicle that can be recharged at home or with a 1.4-liter gasoline engine, as the first 100 mile-per-gallon car.

The country's biggest automaker, whose sales of pickup trucks and sport-utility vehicles collapsed this year as gasoline topped $4 a gallon, is cutting the mileage deal while urging Congress to approve $25 billion in government loans to help the industry meet new federal fuel-economy standards.

Earning a 100 mpg certification would give Detroit-based GM the holy grail auto companies began seeking following the oil shocks of the 1970s. The Environmental Protection Agency agreed to a testing method that will produce a rating at least that high, said Tony Posawatz, 48, vehicle-line director for the Volt in Warren, Michigan. The four-passenger car, which goes on sale in November 2010, will be able to travel 40 miles (64 kilometers) before the internal-combustion engine needs to recharge the battery.

``It's a huge milestone to beat 100 mpg. It's bragging rights,'' said Rebecca Lindland, an analyst at Global Insight Inc. in Lexington, Massachusetts. ``To many people, GM is just about gas-guzzling SUVs. They never get credit for fuel economy. If Toyota were doing the Volt, they would be having parades and waving flags.''

While the Volt is classified as an electric car, GM will still be able to claim it's the most fuel-efficient vehicle on the road because the gasoline-powered generator will start after the sedan exceeds the battery's 40-mile range.

`Final Policy'

The EPA won't confirm how it gauges fuel economy of plug-in models until testing methodology is complete, spokeswoman Catherine C. Milbourn said in a statement. The agency ``hopes to have a final policy soon,'' she said.

The government- and industry-backed Partnership for a New Generation of Vehicles tried to create an 80-mpg auto in the 1990s. The group disbanded in 2001 after failing to develop one. The Progressive Automotive X Prize is offering $10 million to the first team to produce a 100-mpg vehicle that passes its tests and can be commercially produced.

Toyota Motor Corp.'s hybrid Prius is the highest-rated car on the road today, achieving 48 mpg in the city and 45 mpg on the highway. It has a 1.5-liter gasoline engine, isn't rechargeable at an electric outlet and can drive only 2 miles on its battery.

Nice and cheap for anyone thinking about getting one this Holiday for all the great games coming out.

While the 40GB may have been discontinued back in July, the nixed model can still be found at retailers with a sizable stockpile of the console. According to reports, Blockbuster, as one of the few retailers still carrying the SKU, will be dropping the price of the console by $40. An internal memo from Blockbuster has indicated that the price cut will be taking effect this Sunday. The rather humorous new price of the console, $360, will undoubtedly boost holiday sales and clear out the remaining stock. To sweeten the deal, Blockbuster will also apparently be selling the bundling the 40GB model with an HDMI cable, Spiderman on Blu-Ray, and Transformers the game for $400.

Sony expands PSN cards
Yay for all of those people(like me) without a credit card. Now I'll finally be able to buy classic games off of the PS Store.

White Knight Story... That game is sure to be the best RPG coming out this year. Sadly only in Japan until next year...

Sony will be showing off a secret game, not yet unveiled though.

Super Mario recreated in LittleBigPlanet..
Yeah, I read that apparently Media Molecule has made their own recreation of a mario level. No doubt it'll be much better.

Super Mario recreated in LittleBigPlanet..
I know many have wanted to make a level of this (me? not really) and somebody has! It was made in the beta, however, so he was limited to the tools he could use. Pretty good for not being able to use a lot of the tools and being new to the game. I can't wait to see some amazing levels produced by this.

I'm betting a few months after it's released there will be some really good recreations. I'd like to remake that level in Crash Bandicoot 1 where you have to get past the big gate...

Politics

Well, I'm not in any way, shape, or form a decent political pundit so my following post may be bashed to bits, but when it comes to the American election, I've recently found the Republican ticket disgraceful. We have an old man who has proven himself rather out of touch with our society and not willing to differentiate himself from the Bush doctrine that has placed our country in this financial crisis along with a woman who I see as little more than a right-wing wacko with little knowledge about what her possible position entails nor any general clue about politics as a whole.

And while mudslinging is a general tactic in politics and has been done on both sides, the extent to which McCain's camp has been doing it this election has been disgraceful. They're resorting to obvious lies and distortions such as "Obama will raise taxes for the majority of Americans" or "Obama wants to teach sex-ed to elementary students" and constantly shoving in America's face the evils of radical liberalism when that's not even what has caused our troubles in the first place.

I don't know about anyone else, but ever since the conventions, this election is been nearly black and white for me. Obama continues to recognize that the majority of America-- the middle class-- is suffering the burden of insane taxes and high prices on necessities like gas, food, and health care, and his plans for tax cuts sound like just what we need. I also like the fact that when it comes to foreign policies, he is adamant on diplomacy and thought before action, one of the things I believe made America such a brilliant ally and leader for other nations. Going further on this point, I also agree with him that since Iraq has not committed any travesty towards us, they were never our concern and we have little business of being over there now. It's costing us too much money when we should be focused on rebuilding ourselves.

So yes, Obama is my choice for '08. Whoo-hoo. xD
I don't see how you can say McCain is anything like Bush, because he is not.. All I know is if Obama gets elected for his speeches of "change" everyone is going to be sadly disappointed. Everyone wants change INSTANTLY, well Obama isn't going to change squat very quickly if at all and people will be like "I thought when he got elected everything would change and things would be better"...

And if McCain gets elected, people will ignorantly claim stuff like this, "I knew he was like bush, he hasn't changed anything". They're both damned if they get elected, because of people's overly high expectations that things are just going to change like magic.

So far all I've heard from Obama are grand speeches full of words... Big fancy words that add a lot of fluff to get him elected... "We are not democrats or republicans, we are Americans!!"... When I heard that I just laughed and was nauseated. It's just too much cheese!!

Angel Island is personally one of my favs. It's like you're posting in a message board in Sonic 3. XD

Level 5 announces two new RPGs for PSP.
Underrated? I thought they were considered one of the best when it came to RPGs? I guess with companies like SquareEnix, they're always in the shadows of people's minds..

I voted Ice Cap, because it's easiest to view on a laptop out in the sun.
