Guilty Gear Xrd

Ahhhh! Sadly no one posted in that topic. Anyway, I've never played it, but I really like the animation and graphics in this game. It looks 2D but it's 3D and everything is sooooo smooth. It's coming out fall 2014 in Japan and supposedly the same time everywhere else. Not sure if they've made a concrete date yet though.

Anyone excited for this game? I never have played a Guilty Gear game and never knew anything about it but heard the name. Anyway I heard about this game at E3 and watched some trailers and it looks like a kick ass fighting game!

Geez, finally someone comments. Yeah the reveal was pretty epic, got tons of people talking about it. I hope we see more at the Tokyo Game Show next month. That's likely where it'll be fully announced if it does anytime soon.

Wow lots of exciting games! PS4 has surpassed 10 Million consoles sold in 9 months. It'll similar to the PS Vita version but much different considering the controls have been reworked to work with the Dualshock 4. Tearaway Unfolded coming to PS4. It'll similar to the PS Vita version but much different considering the controls have been reworked to work with the Dualshock 4. Tearaway is one of the best handheld games out so I'm excited for that.

Sometimes they do show Japanese games at Western events though. DragonBall is pretty big here too, but it probably will be saved for next month at TGS.

Just a placeholder for any GamesCom discussion. Anyone excited about this? GamesCom is getting huge, it's like the E3 of Europe and in recent years it has seemed to eclipse E3 in game announcements. I really hope Sony shows off Rime and Shadow of the Beast again with release dates, those were the most promising games they showed off last year imo.

I'm a big fan of this series! I played the first one when it was out at my friend's house and at the time it was just good plain fun. I always loved the taser, and catching people on fire. I never played the second one but I rented the third and loved that one. I owned Omega Strain and both of them on PSP(best PSP games imo) and I don't think Logan's Shadow was bad at all. I liked it a lot and thought it was better than Dark Mirror(which was also great). As far as who developed it, it's always been the same team. It was made by Eidetic which at some point(Idk when) changed their name to Sony Bend. Sony Bend because it's a part of SCE and is located in Bend, Oregon. 989 was just the publisher. Sony Bend is still around today and after Logan's Shadow they made Resistance Retribution and Uncharted Golden Abyss. They are currently at work on a PS4 game but it's unknown what that will be. I really really hope it's a new Syphon Filter because Logan's Shadow was just a cliff hanger that needs to be expanded on with a sequel. Although rumors are a different Sony studio is working on a new Syphon Filter such as Guerilla Cambridge or London Studio but just rumors. Maybe that's why I like it so much the genre is sparse now days. But the gameplay doesn't really fall short of any classic or modern survival game and it can be really freaking hard. Plus the MP is fantastic, not the same spray and pray game as all those other online shooters and ACTUALLY requires tactics. It's more like Socom II. As far as the game being a movie, it isn't MGS4 with 90 minute cutscenes, it just does story telling way better than other games. As far as the movie is concerned the story is pretty decent in the game, it can have some predictability though, but I'm sure the movie will bring about more depth. They'd have to, there isn't enough script in the game to make a full blown movie. lol

Well the highly praised remake of the original Resident Evil for GameCube is getting an HD remaster for old and current systems. I'm actually kind of excited for this as I never got the chance to play the remake. It comes 2014 in Japan and early 2015 everywhere else. Click here for more details.
