So these guys aren't really dangerous. Just really, really good and really, really bored.

Hopefully. I like the idea of hacking companies' websites and letting them know that their security sucks. I'm a PS fan, but I'm pretty appauld with Sony... wouldn't know how crappy their "security" was/is without LulzSec. I think we're particularly lucky in a sense.

/ramble
I disagree. The fact that they've hacked several game companies shows that it's not just Sony that has security flaws. Even Live got hacked recently.

Do you really think LulzSec/Anonymous helped Sony out? They maliciously attacked them and made them take down their network. They uncovered security flaws but it's not like someone else doing the same later would have hurt them more, it would have been the same fiasco no matter the attackers.

Duke Nukem Forever back in development
2K Games probably didn't want to pay everyone off to give their games high scores like Rockstar does so they have no obligation to rate it well.

Needless to say, reviews don't really matter anymore with all of their politics being dragged into it. It's no longer about reviewing a game rather than other factors. Although they never really mattered much anyway.

Hackers Target Other Games
That's not all... Epic, Bethesda, and Nintendo have gotten hacked recently as well. Albeit those were websites and not servers for their games, but still.

Also hackers in Spain have gotten arrested and another location too but not much has been done on that end...

E3 2011
As far as E3 goes... I'm still excited about the Vita, it remedies all of the problems with the PSP and adds more. It's currently the #1 selling item on Amazon's top video game list just by preorders.
Uncharted 3 already has over 20 award nominations! Looks like they'll take the show like they did in '09 with Uncharted 2. The ship level looked absolutely stunning and the stealth looks SOOOOO much better than in Uncharted 2.

Also is anyone else impressed with Sony's new Playstation-branded TV? It's 3D and supports multiple players but the thing that makes it unique is that instead of being split screen, each player sees their own screen in FULL screen! So while your friend is playing on the same screen, he is seeing something entirely different! It is pretty awesome.

It is also affordable for a 3D TV. The PlayStation 3D display bundle comes with the television, an HDMI cord, Resistance 3 and one set of active shutter glasses for US$500. It will be available in the third quarter of this year.

Lol, lots of PC gamers pissed at Dust 514 being exclusive to PS3. I don't see why though, they still have Eve Online to play. They aren't getting shafted.

And as for the graphics.. whoopdedoo, in 2-3 years the 360 and PS3 will have successors in line that will blow this console away because they like to be behind the technological curve.

And just saw the Sly 4 trailer. All I can is YES. I thought the bit with Dimitri at the end was actually quite funny and I want to see more now. xD I did remember how at the end of Sly 3
Spoiler: click to toggle
So it looks interesting and I'm looking forward to trying this and see how time will come into gameplay.

One thing I hope Sly 4 adds is REPLAY VALUE. I loved the Sly games(I think 2 is still the best) and has everything I ask for in a platformer. Gameplay, story, etc., except one thing. The only thing that holds it in my mind from true greatness is replay value. Otherwise, I might even like it more then Mario. After beating the game, there's almost nothing to do in these big cities and levels, especially in Sly 3. So I really hope Sly 4 can add some replay value, as you can easily get through the short replay value they had in the other games.

EDIT: Actually, wait, I am both skeptical and looking forward to this even more at the same time. The skeptical part is that Sucker Punch is not handling this! D: It seems they really are done with Sly as they didn't even do the HD re-packaging as well. And the story seems a bit ehh despite it continues off of 3 but Sly 3's story was better then what I expected, especially the ending parts, so I just gotta wait and it's probably more deeper then what I think. But the new developers, Sanzaru Games is actually addressing the problem about replayability according to IGN's preview(Who seemed very pleased about the game and loved its artstyle, saying they love how detailed the boss's HP bar was lol) so I just gotta wait and see.
It's not Sucker Punch but Sanzaru Games made the HD collection and I think they have studied and know how the games work and should play. I had the HD Collection and beat 1 and got pretty far into 2. I liked 2 better but 1 was great in that it was harder. I agree about the replay value though.

As for Sucker Punch, they may not be doing Sly at the moment but it's good to have companies switch it up and do different things. inFAMOUS is a great series.

Motion controls were around Metallix, but they sucked far more nor were they marketed with mass appeal.

But this is different than merely motion controls, however. This is greater interactivity between your controller and the television screen. If I were to turn off the tv while you were playing Battlefield or whatever, you would lose your shits because you are reliant completely on the television screen to see what you're doing. With the WiiU, not a problem-- you can continue playing seamlessly with probably the same graphical output because the video reverts to the display screen on the controller. This type of interactivity extends itself to other possibilities: You can have multiple viewpoints of the same game, opening up the possibilities of different games and genres, or you can use the actual screen to perform in-game functions on the television more easily simply by holding it up.

Dismissing this as "just motion controls" is a complete misunderstanding of what we know so far about the WiiU, and I can only imagine how Nintendo is going to take advantage of this tech with their first-party titles.
Motion controls did not suck far more than the Wii and I already stated they weren't popular which has an implied statement of not being marketed well.

I wasn't calling this merely motion controls, that was referring to the original Wii. As far as the television analogy, when has that ever happened to anyone here? That's such a moot point. Nothing else to say as my opinion on it has already been stated.

In other Nintendo E3 related news, Luigi's Mansion 2 for the 3DS.
Kinda ironic considering the first game was designed to run in 3D.

Oh I loved Luigi's Mansion! I still feel the GameCube was one of their best.

I am a little disappointed about this year's E3 in general, I think last year's was a lot better.

But whatever, it's not over yet.
I have to admit I thought last years was better too, but none of them bombed this year and it was decent.

E3 2011
I see. Well I'm not counting Nintendo out, I think it'll do well. I just am not impressed is all. I heard them spouting innovation in their conference and it just sounded like a bunch of BS hype to me, similar to how Sony said incredible things about the PS2 before it launched. They just made motion controls popular, it was around way before the Wii.

Has there been any news on the possible new Sony console? I havne't been able to watch any of the actual conferences yet.

Also, a tablet-controller is cool. It could be that much, since apparently you can play your games on it without a TV screen.
Well aside from its bad ergonomic design, it pretty much renders the 3DS useless. Why have a dedicated handheld if your next console is both? I like the idea, I just feel it was executed poorly.

WipEout 2048
Oh my, I am so sad that I missed out on WipEout in its glory days on the PS1. I had my first experience of the series on the PSP with Pure and it was great! Now there is a new game that will be launching on the PSP's successor! The launch trailer is pretty cool and it sports some nifty features.

E3 2011
It's called Sly Cooper Thieves in Time.
http://www.g4tv.com/videos/53393/official-sly-cooper-thieves-in-time-e3-trailer/

As for Nintendo... Eh, their new console seems more of the same to me and I view it as them JUST now catching up to their competitors. Don't like the controller design, it looks very uncomfortable and unnecessary. It'll be interesting to see if they can get the casual audience that bought the Wii back for the Wii U.

It seems to me like they wanted to sell the Controller alone, because there wasn't any info about the device. I'm not asking for a price this early on, but at least some specs or basic stuff... A PS3 controller is already $55 new, this thing has got to be expensive! I'm just not impressed or interested but, like the Wii, the real info will come at next year's E3. lol

The games they announced seem to all be multiplatform 3rd party games(the first party stuff was tech demos so far). What's the advantage if most of the support isn't even exclusive and on the already released consoles for cheaper?

E3 2011
I'm really excited about Sly 4 on PS3!! I really haven't been too much up to date on the conferences though just seeing articles about it. PS Vita is probably going to be day 1 for me. The price is right.

I'm liking that sy-fi MMO shooter (Forgot the name...)
Dust 514?

E3 2011
I think PS Vita has a chance at overtaking the 3DS at the same price point. What the PSP did wrong was simply being more expensive which gave the DS an advantage starting off. At the same price the 3DS has some serious competition!

I'm glad Medievil is back and for PS3 Move.

E3 2011
Don't need G4 to watch Sony's, you can watch it live via the Blog.

New Playstation System
In response to Dubbmattic, I think the reason why people aren't ready for a new system is because the current systems released at such a high price and are still pretty pricey for the common person in this recession. It took quite some time for the prices to come down too.

The 360 launched at $400 and the PS3 was $600. The PS3 is STILL at the launch price of the PS2. Once it drops another $100 is when it really takes off if history has anything to say about it as the PS2 didn't take off until it was $199.

[MAJOR UPDATE] Playstation Network Down
Yup downloaded it. Glad I was able to snag that one. ^_^ I've owned it on one of my old accounts that unfortunately is activated on 5 accounts already so I can't use it on any other PS3.

I got Little Big Planet, inFAMOUS, WipEout HD Fury, and R&C Q4B.

[MAJOR UPDATE] Playstation Network Down
I have two accounts so I downloaded 4 games. :D One account is European so I got Ratchet and Clank Quest 4 Booty. XD

Twisted Metal 2012
Well not much is known about this, it's a game mode specific to these bots though. It looks pretty sweet though... Get it, sweet? You see what I did there? lol
