The rhythm action genre is a competitive market these days, with Guitar Hero, Rock Band, and SingStar all vying for musically enamoured gamers' time. Sony's SingStar may be the gaming equivalent of The Rolling Stones, having been around for nearly four years, but it shows no sign of being forced out by the new kids on the block. Sony announced today that the series has sold more than 12 million copies in PAL territories to date, with 5 million units sold in fiscal 2007. The karaoke series, which first hit the PlayStation 2 in 2004, has seen more than 15 spin-offs on the PlayStation 2 and a next-gen version on the PlayStation 3. While certain editions, such as SingStar Rocks and SingStar '80s, have made it to the US market, these sales figures only include the PAL territories. In addition to bumper sales of the games themselves, Sony also announced that the SingStore had sold over a million songs since it launched in December of last year. The online store currently sells songs and their high-definition videos for Ł0.99 ($1.97) each. In other online news, My SingStar Online has registered 140,000 users, as well as 20,000 videos of SingStar performances from players, all of which have been watched a total of 2.5 million times online. The announcement follows the news that the PS3 version of the game will finally be released in North America next month on May 20. Sony has yet to announce pricing or song lists for the US version, but it was featured along with LittleBigPlanet at the recent Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival.

Well maybe my idea of what they are is wrong, but I've always thought New York style was just really giant slices of pizza that you fold and Chicago was thick stuffed crust. I've had Chicago styled pizza from Papa Murphys :), but I don't know if that's authentic or not.

I know... This could be the best selling game for the next gen consoles. Probably not selling better than VC. Vice City sold 14 million on PS2 alone and 360/PS3 still have a small userbase compared to PS2. It's getting 10/10s everywhere too.

The PM system is also a lot different. Now it's like a conversation. When you PM a person all the PMs go under their name list.. Idk how to explain it. There are also blogs, joinable groups, and much better controls for the admin. One of the MOST useful features is that the search feature actually works!

They never said all the boards would get converted, JUST that the auto-converter would start and it did, it only converted one board though. Now Brandon is using that conversion to better improve the converter to make it faster and remove any small bugs it may still have had.

Nah, they just cleverly disguised their true meaning in words. They never said all the boards would get converted, JUST that the auto-converter would start and it did, it only converted one board though.

Now Brandon is using that conversion to better improve the converter to make it faster and remove any small bugs it may still have had.

That's what I thought at first too, but I don't think there will be free roaming on this. If there is, cool, but doesn't make it better imo. It's not Hawaii though, but many islands in the Pacific are like that. I think the best feature is everything is destructible. The trailer already demonstrated that with the Monster truck knocking over a wooden tower.

Anyone feel that there are too many good games coming out in 2008? I mean everyone complains about no good games and that they wish they had more, but 2008 has so many good ones coming out at once around the holidays it's unbelievable. I'm expecting people to start complaining, because they can't afford them all.

MotorStorm 2 is going to be bigger than a sequel to the first muddy racing game; in fact MotorStorm 2 is that big it has its very own island and 16 tracks to race around on! MotorStorm 2’s island is a tropical paradise that allows players to race on several different tracks including jungles, beaches and swamps. The location of the island is in South Pacific and features a volcano - maybe we can expect some volcanic action while racing or something along those lines. So now that we know the MotorStorm 2 world is a South Pacific island, what sort of tracks can we expect? Well looking at the map we can expect beach races, swamps, high mountain encounters and hopefully some snow as you can see there is snow on and around the volcano in the north side of the island. Obviously MotorStorm 2 offers a variety of environments to race on compared to the desert environments from the first game. The new tracks will feature more multiple ways to find the finish line. This should add a hell of a lot more fun and last appeal. Apparently water will play a key moment in the game allowing you to cool your engine as you splash through the waves on the beach and the grummy swamp. So whenever you boost your nitro and your engine is about to blow, why not cool it off in the water? But don’t expect players using the water as an advantage though, it will probably slow you down at the same time. You get the picture. The 16 new tracks in MotorStorm 2 will feature fully destructible trees and foliage, so imagine you’re in a Monster Truck and you hit a tree and it crashed down on to the track damaging your opponents behind. Another example is that the bigger vehicles will be able to smash through trees etc no problem, but the smaller vehicles such as the bikes will have to find a way around the blocking obstacles. That said, bikes will be able to run up tree logs or duck under to skim the logs to get the advantage. Every track in the game will feature fantastic hazards to encounter for example, the ashes from the volcano will reduce your vision on the mountain range. New vehicles will be included second time around including the massive monster trucks that will probably crush just about anything that gets in its way including opponents. New animation is on the cards so when you fall off your bike expect the driver to spring out the way, jumping up and over the oncoming vehicles or, if he wants to die by staying put. There will be more players racing on the same track coupled by faster load times. So don’t expect to wait around long. MotorStorm 2 will feature 4 player split screen and provide interactivity with Home and offer a unique custom race mode for online play. The Bible is a great book to read, even if you don't believe in Christianity, there is lots of wisdom in there that will make your lives better. I'm not reading anything currently. My last book read was "The Hancock Boys".
