PS3 doesn't play PS2 games?
Only the original ones and some 80gig models played PS2 games. Only the ones with 4 usb ports can do that.

Sega pulling Sonic titles from Wii VC
They are clearly ramping up to unveil their new system and don't want people to play their games on rival systems. /sarcasm. :D

But just... what's the difference concept-wise? Both are kart racers meant to be very customizable.

Eh. Dunno about this. Modnation racers didn't really thrill me as much as it did to you, Neo. Though I suppose it could be more of me getting tired of cartoony racing games like this and Mario Kart overall.
Well, for one, I was reading on the blog that you can create your own weapons in this game. All of the weapons that come in the game are made using tools that are available to everyone. At first I really didn't care because I thought it would be just Modnation in a LBP skin but it looks like the customization is much improved from what I've seen and read.

I thought Modnation was great just because of the customization and this seems to have much more than Modnation had. I'm hoping the gameplay is improved. The gameplay was just decent imo but not bad.

Well here is a boxart and trailer, it's finally been officially announced.

As you can see, it's similar to Modnation Racers set in a LBP universe, but with many improvements. Grappling in a kart game looks pretty cool. Even a battle mode similar to a kid style Twisted Metal. Looks promising to me!

I haven't gotten anything since I changed it but it may take a few minutes to redirect properly. Idk.

Ok so apparently it was due to the domain pointing to the old ip address ZB used an not the new ones. It is fixed! :)

Best Free Roaming Game
I really liked Red Dead Redemption. I'd have to say inFAMOUS 2 & Red Dead would be my favorites.

There it went again, and I'm fairly certain that Zetaboards had nothing to do with it, seeing as I was able to access another Zetaboard while this place was down. Maybe I'm wrong, I really don't know. *shrug*
I think this is a Zetaboards issue. We are on Server 9 and different Zetaboards are on different servers. It could be a server issue and I thought it was just happening to me. Guess not. If it keeps going for a few more days, I say it would be a good idea for me to talk to them.
I just sent in a support ticket and I'll keep everyone posted on what the ZB staff say. It seems like every time I post it crashes but I just hit back and add reply again and it works.

Spoiler: It's not that many. Only a few Sony only titles.

Apparently a few of the really early models did have backwards compatibility with the PS2, but it was ditched later. Not sure what the deal was with that.
Two words:

Money

grubbing

conspiracy.

"That's three."

... Money-grubbing conspiracy?

"That's still three words."

BUT THE HYPHEN! D=

But that aside, yes, I've heard of that before. Clearly suspicious.
You are right, it was due to money. Not in that context though. The simple fact is people didn't want a console that was $500/600. Those early PS3s pretty much had a PS2 inside of it and removing that reduced costs enough to take $100 off of the price.

You can still find used backwards compatible PS3s but I don't think they are really worth it if you already have a PS2. It's not like they upscale the graphics or anything.

As far as the PS2 Classics on PSN. There aren't many but they are reworked to run on the PS3, not a straight port. The only one I have is Twisted Metal Black which I got for free from buying the new Twisted Metal. It runs just like it did on the PS2, not HD. Still a great game though.

Nope. PS3 is apparently non-PS2-backwards-compatible. Which is stupid because it's backwards compatible for PS1 games. This is why I refuse to trade my PS2 in for a PS3. It's a capitalist conspiracy to make me spend more money.
If you have a PS2 why would you not get a PS3 because it doesn't play PS2 games? The reason it plays PS1 games, though, is because it all emulated. They probably couldn't emulate PS2 games to a high enough percentage. Hence why they started releasing PS2 classics on the PSN that have been reworked.

Favorite military first-person shooter game.
Does it have to be First Person? Well technically Socom can be played in first and third but Socom II would have to be mine if it counts.

Resident Evil: 6
I don't have much hope for it after 5.... 4 was good, despite the change from its normal gameplay. 5 just was one too many and was a poor action game by action game standards. My favorite is still Code Veronica X and I've heard some things that RE6 was going back to its roots but I also heard it would be different as well so I don't know. I want a REAL horror game because Dead Space and Fear don't cut it.

Greatest Handheld Games Ever?
Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core has been my favorite. I'm not really a huge fan of Final Fantasy either but that game was awesome! Followed by Crush.

The Sonic 06 Dilema

This may surprise you all, but Sonic '06 is my second favourite Sonic game of all time. I'm dead serious.

The controls are alright in my opinion, but like Mystic said, the game really feels incomplete. But, this isn't SEGA's fault. Microsoft and Sony rushed them to apparently "finishing" it, which is why you have a ton of glitches.

Speaking of glitches, I haven't really run into any of them. It seems the only people who encounter these glitches are mighty-pro speed-runners that don't take their time. I mean, of course, it's a Sonic game and you get that feeling that you want to get to the goal as soon as possible, but a little paitience and this game won't be so hard.

Speaking of difficulty, Sonic's mach speed stages are probably the most difficult part of the game. OH MY GOD, THE KINGDOM VALLEY MACH STAGE. I HATED IT! You had to keep doing mini-jumps both at the beginning and in the middle of it, and when you were running on the waterfall and you saw this ramp coming up you didn't know where to go, and eventually you fell. But thanks to a video demonstration, I managed to tackle it. Once you get through Sonic's stages and the four mach stages of hell, the game shouldn't be that difficult.

But the real reason this is my second favourite Sonic game is because my favourite mechanic of Sonic games returned: adventure fields. When you complete a character's story, you were finally able to explore areas of one big city again (Soleanna) and you could play any stage at will. You could even play the Tails version of Wave Ocean if you wanted to.

Character playability could have been improved, it kinda annoys me that you have to complete all the town missions to unlock all the characters, but hey, you have Sonic, Shadow and Silver to start with, and each storyline has respective playable characters.

And the music... oh the music... it was great.

So to conclude it all, Sonic '06 is my second favourite Sonic game and the last game I'll ever have access to where you can play as other characters besides JUST SONIC. I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but you don't get a Mario game where you can't play as Mario, right? But I really don't have any right to say that, being someone whose only played the original SMB on an NES emulation website.

EDIT: Oh, I forgot, the story. As I sad earlier, it has a serious tone to it, but people are freaking out on bestiality? If people go apeshit on the whole Elise kissing a dead Sonic, why do people not bash the princess and the frog fairytale?
I don't buy that statement that they rushed them. It was ALWAYS meant to be a 15th anniversary game so how can you rush an anniversary game?

Scary video game characters and enemies
Um anything from Silent Hill. Most notably Pyramid Head.

As far as all of this Dead Space talk goes, I find those games to be very weak/watered down compared to past survival horror games like Fatal Frame, Siren, Silent Hill, and even the original Resident Evils.
