Apparently Nintendo's next handheld, will not have the 3D feature 3DS has. Apparently far too many complaints with headaches, and peoples eyes. Oh well. 3D consoles were fun while they lasted. :/
Um, I doubt they are already far enough in the planning stages of their next handheld to even know what it's going to have. Idk though, and I doubt that many have had complaints as they did do testing and had testers use it. If it was there were major complaints they would have heard about them in their testing.

Maybe handhelds won't be 3D anymore but I can guarantee you that consoles will stay 3D. PS3 keeps getting 3D games and the next gen of consoles will likely have 3D as well as eventually all HDTVs will be 3D.

The Veteran List
Lol, you're right. I had 1 year on there back when the forum wasn't 3 years old yet so it kind of had to be on there...

What theme do you have on?
Lol... It does work great on mobile browsers, I always used the mobile skin while I was browsing on my PSP/phone. Essentially it's a skin with absolutely nothing on it. :D

Time Zone poll
A bias towards the US, I think, because a lot of people didn't vote. However the most active users have voted so I think it's a good thing to go by.

The Veteran List
This thread will be a compilation of Veteran members who have been here for along time. It has been wiped and is starting over. This topic is for our 5 year anniversary which is coming up just to see how many veterans we have.

If you have been here for years post here and you will be put on the Veteran list. If you would like to be updated on the list please post again stating that you are now supposed to be moved up.

So we do a new one... :)

Yup, I'm PDT(Pacific Daylight Time) as it's Daylight Savings over here...

How Netflix DESTROYED Blockbuster
Well coming back to this topic, my roommate moved out and it would have been fine but he also cancelled his Netflix account. So I'm without Netflix now and I won't be purchasing a subscription.

I did however create a Blockbuster account. If that location doesn't go out of business, I'll be cool. Otherwise I won't be watching any movies aside from the odd theater movie. Blockbuster's prices are very reasonable compared to before. At $2.99 for 5 days, it's very good. Considering I don't watch movies all the time(only when guests are here) it makes more sense because I don't have a monthly subscription that possibly could go to waste. With this I only pay for movies when I want them.

As for Netflix, I wouldn't even use the streaming if it had all of the latest released movies because it's still compressed files. It may be in HD and have surround sound support but I have an HDTV and surround sound and I want to utilize it to its fullest. Therefore BluRay is the way to go for me.

It is good for odd movies that aren't mainstream and even TV shows, I'll give you that, but even at that I find the selection to be lacking. I could probably get all of those lesser known movies at a movie store and more.

Beware The Dancing Ninja Assassin
Now that was pretty cool! Although I wonder how many takes they cut out where the people they scared got pissed. LOL and that last kid, I could see some parents getting really pissed over that.

Firefox 4 Released
Wow, it's much faster actually! I'm liking this much better than 3.x.x

Little Big Planet 2: Endless Fun
The prequel's standards? The story in the prequel is pretty much non existent as well and very shallow. Unless you're talking about the level layouts which then I really can't see their level designs being worse. I never got the second one due to bills but it would be cool to play.

Hey

It's amazing... So many different opinions on this thread. Skins that some love, others hate and vice versa... lol

Japan Earthquake/Tsunami

There are now reports of an entirely separate 6.6 earthquake on the other side of the country. That's just nuts.
I read that, it was in Central Japan... I feel sorry for all of the Japanese, this is terrible. The extra quake just adds salt into the wounds.

Permanent PSP Price Drop
The 3000 series may be harder but it's very easy to do if you don't have the newest firmware. As far as weight, the 3000 is much lighter than the original. I've owned a 1k, 2k, 3k, and a Go. lol

How Do You Choose Your Username?
I have always been a Metal Sonic fan since the beginning and I didn't want a generic, "Metal Sonic" name. So I picked a somewhat unknown alternate name for Metal Sonic(at least in the comics) which is Metallix. I changed it to Neo Metallix later because Neo Metal Sonic is cool. haha

The original Call of Dutys are the best.

The advancement of time in the newer installments is not necessarily mutually exclusive with either good characterization or a slower pace. Putting the MW characters on Normandy's beaches is not going to suddenly make everything all better. At the same time, there is no reason the overall narrative of the MW installments could not express the same themes as the originals. War is war regardless of if it's happening today or it happened 66 years beforehand, and there's camaraderie to be seen in all of it.

Though Talancir does have a point-- It's very common to see the glories of WWII played up while the many wars afterwards and the soldiers who participated in them get the shaft. I'm not even a vet myself nor do I plan on becoming one, but for Pete's sake, even I'm tired of hearing about it. If nothing else, I would much rather see Six Days in Fallujah get resurrected than see the MW line get canned on the implication that only WWII soldiers can be honorable.
WW2 shooters got stale last gen, but pretty much Modern shooters are the new WW2 shooters and they are getting stale as well. I don't think he's saying that Modern Warfare is bad simply because it's not WW2, he's also saying it's bad because it's shallow and poorly made.

I have a feeling that "Future Warfare" will become the new standard replacing modern with the likes of Ghost Recon coming out with a future themed game.

Banned members can browse the forums, but not converse or interact with any of the members. Perma-banned members, however, have no access to the site whatsoever.
Banned members can log in but only to view a special forum that only banned members can see to dispute their ban if they feel they were unjustly banned. Perma-banned(Game Over?) members can not access anything.

inFAMOUS 2 has user generated content!
Wow! This is a neat feature. First Little Big Planet, then Modnation Racers, now inFAMOUS 2. Although these are user generated missions, not levels, it's still cool to have more games with that kind of content in them.

Contest Overhaul
I don't know about the comic competition, it kind of fizzled out and most of the people who competed aren't even active here anymore. Maybe we can kickstart it again?
