They did that for PS2 also. PS2 originally included the PSone chip inside it but they removed it soon after for an emulator. Even before PS3 came out they said they were going to remove the PS2 chip. They ONLY put it in there so you didn't have to wait to play old games on your PS3. 4) America does get it cheaper, but you have to factor in many things... One major factor is you guys make more money than we do in America. 5) Those countless other problems are probably BS as well or not really even problems.

You can play Okami and RE4 on PS3. Anyway I think this is a ripoff! It's too much money for the stuff they're upgrading. I'd just get a premium and upgrade the hdd instead of paying this much for an elite.

Only ONE person in our school has a PS3 and i know a lot that have 360's and wii's. Only people who dont mind consoles breaking if you have a powercut go for the PS3. It has been what? Four days since it launched? Everything you said was speculation and opinion... Btw, of course they are in stock.
