Microsoft at it again, region locks X1 games
Microsoft is back to their anti-consumer ways it seems. They have region locked all downloaded games and DLC. In the fallout of their E3 in 2013 they promised to do away with region locked content. It's crap like this that pisses me off. You have companies out there that try to make the best products to their vision to win over consumers then you have Microsoft that takes a steamy dump on their consumers. How long till they go back on their word and bring back online DRM? Hmmm? If Sony and Nintendo pulled this I would be equally as pissed at them. I just hope their policies don't bleed into other companies like EA and other big publishers because that will be bad.

Crash Bandicoot returning on PS4?
Possible new evidence for Crash coming to PS4. It's just more teasing and could be something different but OPM UK has teased "a series of massive significance" being revealed for PS4 next month. Not game, series! What could that be? When I first saw that Crash Bandicoot came to mind immediately and others as well. I mean what other series could be considered a massive significance? Twisted Metal isn't massive anymore, neither is Syphon Filter. Socom is the only Sony franchise that hasn't been confirmed that I could see fitting that bill but they shut down those studios. 3rd party series maybe? What is there out there that's massive and not on Playstation already? My guess is Crash Bandicoot. What do you make of this?

Irrational Games to shut down
I just don't see why he couldn't have left and formed a new group so Irrational could stay making games. Whatever... It kinda seems selfish.

Irrational Games to shut down
This is surprising but it says in the article that it's not due to financial issues, it's because Ken Levine doesn't want to manage a large team such as Irrational. He wants a smaller team and that does not mean he wants to do iPhone games, likely an Arcade/PSN game. Sometimes having such a large team is stressful.

With how well the 3DS, PS4, and X1 are doing I don't see traditional gaming going anywhere.

PS4 steamrolling
Well I broke down and bought a PS4. I saw it in stock on Amazon(out of stock literally everywhere else) and I found out after paying bills I had more money than I thought. lulz I was lucky too because only four minutes after ordering it, it was sold out.

Anyway new figure! As of Feb 8th they've sold 5.3 million consoles, already beating their original goal of 5 million by March 31st and they have yet to launch in their home market of Japan. http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/gaming/2014/02/18/ps4-sales-5-million/5574863/

The Order 1886
New trailer released today! Not much is known about it still but I'm really interested because it's made by ReadyatDawn which is made up of ex-Naughty Dog and Blizzard members. They made a name for themselves on the PSP by creating some of the best games for the system. A brief summary of the story.

GBA Games coming to Wii U
This isn't a big deal but it does make the Wii U more enticing. I may just get one later on down the road.

Steam Machines

I really don't see what the use in Steam Machines would be, especially since I can just play my Steam Games on my PC already, without needing a console. Doubt that I'll get one.
It's for people who don't have gaming PCs though but want to play games. Not everyone wants a PC for gaming for any number of reasons. Which is why a console is a good alternative. Most consoles are like computers now anyway, unlike early ones that only had one function.

PS4 steamrolling
In January the PS4 was the #1 next-gen system in North America(3DS presumably #1 overall) and sold nearly double that of its nearest competitor. Impressive considering it is sold out in most places. It seems last gen went way too long and people are starved and hungry for new consoles! Their original goal was 5 million by March but they sold 4.2 Million by December 28th and they are launching in Japan this month. So they are off to a great start which means great support by devs!

My GT6 Review
That's a very good deal! Anyway I like muscle cars but not exclusively. I do mix it up because, I also like variety. A FF car handles much differently than a FR and yeah you can take pictures in photo mode or during a replay then you have the option to export it to the XMB while viewing them in the gallery.

Here are a few more I took:

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII
Yeah reviews are rather mixed. I've read that the battle system is the game's best attribute by far but what holds it back is its story. I have to play through Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Remix but once I get through that I'll give this a shot.

Trisha's Art.
Thanks for sharing your art! We need more artists in the fandom, they seem to be going the way of the dodo. Well not that drastic, but you just don't see as many artists making fan art as you used to see.

Wow that's really awesome! I'm happy for you and married at such a young age. Wow again!

New Here!
Awesome, great to have you here! I agree that it's sad fan forums are dying out, forums losing popularity have hit us too but not enough to take us out. lol

Enjoy our wide range of topics to discuss and features offered. If you have not seen them yet, you may want to check out the SB Points of Interest..

My GT6 Review
I need to get one again. I had one for GT5 but I sold it because I didn't use it enough but I feel like I would now with GT6. The Driving Force GT is the best for the money despite the lack of an H shifter. Great force feedback and only slightly over $100. I need to get a proper stand for it though I was using it on my tv dinner table and it just wasn't convenient.

As far as the tracks go I like all of the new ones they've added. Ascari has a good learning curve to it though but once I got used to it, it was fun. Bathurst is amazing during night too! You can see the city in the background all lit up and the stars look great too.

Here are some of my best pics I took in photo mode. I've taken a lot and really just got lucky on these.

The Multiplayer Thread

I swear I posted in here already.

It sounds like a good idea on paper, but it also seems like it could be a bit of a disorganised mess. So long as there were some guidelines in place I think it sounds like a decent idea. Perhaps when a certain number of interested people in one Village Name are meeting up in the thread, that game gets its own thread? Things to consider.

Guess you'll never know till you try.
Yes that sounds fine. If a certain game starts getting a lot of posts, make them create a new thread specifically for that game. No one's stopping you, you can make a thread like that all you want.

Hullo!
Hi welcome to the forum! Glad to see you here. I'm also into Sonic, obviously. Love RPGs too, just got into the Tales of series and recently got Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Remix.
