i dont know what you mean
I don't know what you mean by that. Um, could you clarify? You're being pretty vague.

God of War 3
I don't know if anyone watched spike TV but they unveiled a new trailer for GOW3 and it's a trailer of an updated version. HOLY COW!!! The graphics surpass that of Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, and Heavy Rain and those are the graphics kings right now. Aside from graphics the gameplay looks awesome, Kratos is just a tiny spec on those huge titan's arms.
And here is the episode showing new footage. http://www.gametrailers.com/episode/gametrailers-tv/85&ch=1&sd=0?ep=85&ch=1&sd=0

I don't want toys I WANT MY TWISTED METAL PS3 GODDAMMIT

Still pretty cool though.
It's rumored to come out this year. Regardless, we will know what Jaffe's been working on this year. I SOOOOO hope it's Twisted Metal. It was confirmed in the Extra Twisted version of Head On, but there's always the possibility that they are working on another game simultaneously.

Peace Walker is MGS5!
Nice! Peace Walker is the actual cannon of the series, so much so that they had 5 in the logo. The MGS4 team is developing it and it's just as big budget as MGS4 was. It's a sequel to MGS3, but since they removed 5 from the title it is possible that they saved MGS5 for PS3.

MAG
Mag v1.03 is coming out Thursday! http://blog.mag.com/blog/2010/02/patch-alert-mag-v1-03/
Like I have said at release, and like I say for any online only game: The release date version of the game will only improve. At the rate this game is improving - This is the best online FPS of the year so far and competes with the best of last year.

We’ve listened to your feedback and watched you play our game for weeks to create what is, without a doubt, our biggest and most important patch yet.

Our amendments are dramatic and they are many and we’re confident that they make the game even better than it already was. Not only have we revamped the effectiveness of every weapon in the arsenal and tuned our ranged firing to be more realistic, but we’ve also sped up the weapon and gear swapping process, closed off exploits that gave some teams unfair advantages on certain maps, and have made it more obvious when it’s too late to stop a charge from blowing up.

But those changes aren’t even the half of it, as you’ll see by checking our patch notes below. The best news, though, is that you’ll be able to download this patch starting tomorrow at 1am Pacific/ 4am Eastern/ 9am GMT, February 25. Simply log-on to MAG when the time is right and the update will be ready for download.

We hope you enjoy the new changes — have fun and see you on the battlefield!

Patch v1.03

Available February 25, 2010 | 41MB (TPPS), 49MB (DLS)

Gameplay

* Overhauled tuning of multiple weapons of all types (see “Weapon” section below)
* Improved speed of weapon and gear swapping by approximately 500 milliseconds.
* Fixed bug in SVER’s Aralkum Mechanical Acquisition map and Absheron Refinery Domination map that allowed players to defuse a charge planted on a repaired gate or door.
* Added a “solid tone” sound effect near the end of a charge’s beeping detonation timer so that players know when the charge can no longer be defused and that they should vacate the area.
* “Medium Improved” Armor now works as intended with the speed properties of Medium Armor and a defensive value greater than Medium, but less than Heavy Armor.
* Changed resuscitated player’s camera orientation to match the last camera direction used while incapacitated instead of the pre-harm camera.
* Players no longer lose XP if a teammate is killed by an objective explosion caused by a charge they planted.
* Respec Point requirements in Barracks have been changed from 3K, 5K, 10K, 17K, 26K, and 26K-Repeat to 1K, 2K, 3K, and 3K-Repeat.
* Lowered the amount of damage necessary to kill an incapacitated enemy
* All fired projectiles (RPGs, Turret Rockets) have been given a steadier aim.
* Mines that haven’t been triggered are no longer removed from the map when the dead player that deploys them respawns unless that player changes their Loadout (note: The maximum number of mines you can plant cannot exceed the number you initially spawn with).
* Fixed bug that prevented “fully-resuscitated” players with more than 100 health points from receiving their full HP.
* Fixed bug that caused players to take unnecessary damage from both friendly and enemy vehicles when touching them.
* Players no longer lose leadership points after entering “Veteran Mode.”

Weapons

* “From the hip” firing for Light and Medium machine guns have stronger recoil and are less accurate when moving.
* Tuned weapon damage for all three factions.
* Modified all short-ranged weapons (pistols, PDWs, shotguns, SMGs) so that they’re less effective at long distances.
* Made Battle Rifles more effective.
* Reduced accuracy bonus for using iron sights and reflex sights so that players can no longer snipe with weapons that aren’t intended to do so.
* Increased damage values for all rockets to make them more effective (ex: three rockets can now destroy a DE turret).
* Shooting through thin materials (fences, tents, etc.) will be more consistent.
* Increased spread on shotguns.
* Improved animations for rocket launchers.

Graphics

* Fixed bug that caused the recoil animation to end early or stop animating if a player was firing their weapon for a long period of time.
* Changed detonation time on smoke and poison gas grenades to prevent them from exploding in mid-air to eliminate unintended FX issues.
* Added realistic fogging effects to sky-domes.

Technical

* Fixed most conditions that caused players to be caught in a “respawn loop” which kept restarting the respawn queue when the countdown clock reached 0.
* Changed in-game conditions to make it less likely to experience in-game freezes.
* Improved client-side stability.

Thats pretty sweet. The visuals look amazing. Is this game gonna be released for the x box? I'd laugh if the x box couldn't handle the graphics
Dude, no. Gran Turismo will never be on Xbox it is made by a Sony-owned company. Anyway, GT5 Prologue looked stunning but there have already been comparisons with Prologue and screenshots of the final game and the screenshots of GT5 have much more detail than Prologue does.

I'm probably one of the few people who actually liked Rivals.
I was under the assumption that a lot of people liked it... I mean both versions did become Greatest Hits, so it sold fairly well.

Twisted Metal hinted at!
They may change his design from Black but I don't think they'll completely alter him, he'll still have fire on his head. Here's another little hint he slipped recently...

Quote:

Twisted Metal has been noticeably absent from the PlayStation 3. The series that began on PS1 and has graced every PlayStation platform since, still has no official information regarding its development. Fans have been wondering if and when David Jaffe will reveal a new Twisted Metal, yet the Eat Sleep Play founder hasn’t offered any official confirmation. Recently at DICE’s AIAS Awards ceremony Jaffe seems to be singing a different tune.

Gangsta!

David Jaffe was among some of the award presenters during DICE’s 13th Annual Interactive Achievement Award. During his presentation someone spoke out “Twisted Metal.” His eloquent response was “Soon, bitch – eight or nine months.” Given David’s outspoken nature it wouldn’t be prudent to call this official. Expect an update clarifying his comments, as he did with the previous Twisted Metal rumor.

Speaking with 4Guys 1Up, David reveals more tid bits about his next game, “it will feature vehicles — plus, a mention of what sounds an awful lot like a Twisted Metal control scheme.” Interestingly enough, via GamePro, Jaffe teased his next game as “somewhere between God of War and Calling All Cars.” So you do the math.

It’s not hard to read between the lines here. Does anyone at this point NOT think a Twisted Metal game is coming for the PlayStation 3?

Twisted Metal hinted at!
The graphics aren't much of a downgrade in FFXIII, it's mainly they cut a ton of content to fit it on 3 DVDs and Sony owns the Twisted Metal IP, so yes, it won't be on the 360. It's probably going to be different from the previous games. Jaffe has said "hypothetically" that if he were to do a new Twisted Metal, since the last console game came out nearly 10 years ago, he'd assume that no one has heard of it and do a reboot to make it modern in controls and gameplay.

Uncharted 2 sells 3.5 million, takes awards by storm
Wow, Uncharted 2 has already sold 3.5 million in only 4 months. It took the first to sell 2.5 million since it has been out, unfortunately. Maybe after seeing how good U2 is, people will go back to Drake's Fortune. It also won 10 awards at the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences, the most for any one title including over all Game of the Year for 2009. These are the most prestigious awards out there. It has also garnered more than 150 other industry awards.

At DICE’s AIAS awards last night, acclaimed Playstation developer David Jaffe may well have caved to speculation that he’s working on a Twisted Metal reboot. The outspoken God Of War creator received chants of “Twisted Metal” from the crowd at the AIAS, to which he responded, “Soon, bitch – eight or nine months!”

That kind of timeframe would point to a release in October/November. The game’s still yet to be formally announced, but we expect it’s coming.

So if you're a fanboy you can't like any other game on any other system?
I consider being a fan of something, in which you prefer a system over another, different from being a fanboy and yes it is rare.

360 fanboy: Heavy Rain is a reason to buy a PS3
Say what? A fanboy praising a game on another system? lol Heavy Rain is fairing better than I expected with good reviews from virtually every site and being #1 on Amazon's top video game seller list.

Transform Windows XP into Windows 7
Bowie
Feb 15 2010, 08:04 PM
Your PC should be able to run it since it's simply just reskinning and retooling some programming code.

Specs u say?

Windows XP Pro SP3
Intel Pentium D dual-core @ 2.90Ghz (a slight overclock)
3070MB (3.7GB) available RAM, 4GB total (running at a 2.9Ghz overclock as well)
5GB allocation to my Paige File (Hard Drive storage used as RAM)
Direct X 10.0
2 NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GTs (512MB Video RAM per)
37" HDTV "Plug and Play" Monitor (not really a spec but it effects resolution stuff)

Not the greatest specs ever but runs Crysis just fine.. impressive for a 6 year old PC I've kept runnin with my own upgrades.
Except that most XP computers never came packaged with that much ram or video cards. Heck a lot of them are incompatible with that much ram due to their motherboards.

Sandopolis Now Available!
Ok ok. If you must know, I am working on a Sandopolis skin. This may take a bit longer than normal to be fully completed however.
