| Gah, I hate to say it, but I'm discontinuing this.... It's too much work the way it is set up. Maybe I'll make a team to give advice for fancharacters kinda like the GFX Army only with different tasks. |

Ok this is the first time I'm doing this. I usually don't favor browsers and I've used both IE and FF simultaneously, but NOW I hate IE... I encourage everyone on IE to go get FF.
I'm sick and tired of things looking perfect in FF, but completely screwed up in IE. Heck, IE6 doesn't even have transparency for PNG files!! It completely screws up CSS, so when making skins it may look great in FF, but ugly in IE. I only have IE anymore just so I can see if my skins look bad in it.
If you refuse to get FF, ATLEAST get IE7, because it actually supports PNG transparency. |

Who said I'm mad? You will be missed, but you haven't been around for awhile so it's not much of an impact here.
I just don't get people's logic. They get tired and decide to leave forever... That makes no sense. It's like getting tired of a game and deciding to never play it again. I get tired of things all the time, but I do the logical thing and take a break. |

| There are only a few companies that get their games right 99% of the time. Nintendo, Insomniac, and Naughty Dog come to mind.. |

Motion doesn't require a lot of work, the games are very short w/little developement time, and this isn't specifically the Wii we're talking about.
I'm not talking about my opinion on them either. I'm talking about how they're bad for the industry. Devs now think it's fine to make junk, because people buy them. Whether it be non gamers who only like them because they are simple or just dumb people who will buy anything with a cool box art.
This is only going to get worse... The more and more devs find that sloppy games sell(not all of them are bad of course), the more of these will come out. The industry crashed in the 80s because devs figured they could put anything out and people would buy them, but after being bombarded with crap people quit buying games.
Do you think that this could get that bad? |

They can be fun, but that doesn't make them good games. They are entertainment with no substance and either way only a few are actually entertaining. The way things are going, they are bad for the industry. It's that we're being flooded with massive amounts of crap from devs just cashing in on the fact that non gamers try it out. Seriously... Baby Pals? What the hell???
I mean really... No mini game should even be on a shelf with regular games, they make the over all line-up look bad. At least with PS3 and 360, they are downloadable and much cheaper. Unlike PS2, PSP, DS, and Wii. No mini game should be the price of a normal game. All mini games should be no more than $10, yet they price them like they are regular games... |

Is anyone else getting disgusted by the amount of generic shooters coming out that are all the same? I mean, it's always the same thing we had before under a new name and different style. I'm not seeing any difference from shooters on 360/PS3 that we had on PS1. They are pretty much the same with extras and better graphics...
I mean Halo 3... It hasn't accomplished anything that other shooters haven't, but yet everyone buys it. I realize it's a good game, but it's really the same ol same ol... |

It's called the casual gamer revolution and it really SUCKS! Developers are starting to see that simplistic, small-scale "novelty" games reach out to a larger market than real games do (and cost less to produce than real games do); therefore you're starting to see more "SUPER BUBBLE PARTY DANCE" garbage instead of real games and hardcore gamer games. This is happening in full force on DS/Wii and now the PS2. It is also manifesting its way onto other consoles. ... why are they doing this? Developers want money. Larger Market = More Money. You should get into Media Create Sales charts sometime... You might just barf if you actually saw what kind of "games" are topping the sales chart... It's a sad sight to see that gaming has gravitated away from the truly awesome games like Devil May Cry, and more so towards the "SUPER BUBBLE PARTY DANCE" garbage.
... and why are they selling? Because people who would have never touched a game before is like "oh so cute!!" or "that looks fun", but they never touch the games that give you real entertainment. It's almost like going back to the Atari days when everything was simplistic like Pong.

| Sony Unveils New Motion Tech |

Basically this tech uses a Playstation eye to track your head for a point of reference. When you look at the screen, its like looking out of a window into a true 3D landscape. This tech allows for true depth to be displayed. Additionally if you lean left, you'll be able to see farther to the right, etc. Imagine in an FPS you lean to the side so you can peek around a corner. That's where this tech can go.
Here is a video of the tech: http://www.mtv.com/overdrive/?vid=212547
