Well the Wii/PS2 versions are downgraded in terms of graphics and amount of levels. I believe there are two less levels. Inferior, yes. Bad, no. Anyway Sonic may not do well on 360/PS3 yet but last gen he sold better on PS2. At least Shadow the Hedgehog did. ![]() |

| GTA4... Not many games get higher than 9.5 though... Although I think people have been conditioned into thinking anything under a 9 is crap which is simply not true. A game rated in the 7s is still a good game. |

Whatever, it's not Sony's fault it's the developer's fault for not coding it into the game. The new Motorstorm is better in everyway. The first one had the gameplay, but it didn't have much meat to the game. This one's meatier. ![]() |

So far it's awesome. I've had some amazing crashes that made me laugh at how ridiculous they were. The mud is as thick as ever and I thoroughly enjoyed plowing through that watch tower in a monster truck. The new "Earth, Air, Fire, and Water" tracks are awesome and add a good variety to the selection of tracks. The best part is the weekly downloadable content that will be mostly free. ![]() One time at the end of a race, I was only about 300 feet from the finish line and a freaking Monster Truck came up and ran me over!! :smileyvery-happy: Kind of pissed me off, because I was so close to winning. Oh yeah and there is custom sound tracks. While racing just hit the Playstation button to go to the XMB and select some music on your HDD. Pretty easy! |

| 9.5 is impressive... I don't see why it needs to be higher. Anything higher and it kind of doesn't matter anymore because it's already so high. Besides games that get 10/10s everywhere usually don't deserve them... The ones Bowie listed are probably going to get higher scores though. I agree that this holiday is a great holiday for gaming. It's just too bad there are too many games to afford. For me at least. |

| What's with the media and Sara Palin?! |
|---|
| Posted: Oct 28 2008, 06:31 PM Forum Act I: Chit-Chat Hangout View full topic |
This is about Palin and all I'm saying is she has a smart brain sitting on top of her shoulders. She has common sense and is not dumb at all, but since you brought it up... McCain is nothing like bush and because he's old he gets a bad rap by the media for being "out of touch"... So we have a double standard. McCain's age makes him out of touch, but Obama's age doesn't make him inexperienced?! Everyone's just believing the crap they hear in the news and taking it like sheep. People blame Bush for the bad economy when the causes for the banks failing is directly tied to the Clinton Administration and the democrats that were in power in the 90s, but people don't see that... They just look at the surface. Economy bad, Bush bad, Bush Republican = Republican's are responsible and are all the same. So somehow since McCain is a Republican it makes him like Bush... Palin is qualified to be Vice President no doubt. I mean, I just don't get the media. Somehow Palin is being painted as inexperienced while Obama gets a free ride? If Palin is inexperienced, then so is Obama. At least Palin has Governed over something before. The reason why Obama picked Joe Biden is because he knew he needed someone with experience to help him and so he wouldn't get eaten alive by McCain pointing his inexperience out. The media is so idiotic, can you say double standard?! Also, everyone just falls into the belief that unless there is a huge overhaul, nothing will change when that's further from the truth. So when some guy comes out and says his socialistic changes are needed, people eat it up. Spread the wealth, is the new description for socialism it seems. This is how Hitler came into power people.... Things were bad and everyone wanted an overhaul so they elected the guy that knew how to make the best speeches.... Not comparing Obama to Hitler, but comparing their tactics to get elected. Obama is the best person I know how to say nothing and make it sound like something.
She may support a family structure that has worked since the dawn of time, but your accusations of her are of what you heard from the media... She doesn't want to force her beliefs on anyone(unlike California that forces their beliefs on the people by overturning a law voted in) and change their way of life. Now you're just making her out to be close minded... Which may be true to an extent, but I'd say the people calling her nuts are more close minded. I mean just because she has some beliefs, she has to be some radical nut job right? I think it's extremely close minded to say that, because in essence saying she's close minded is saying their beliefs are the absolute right.
And what? Obama is way more qualified to be leader of a nation than someone who has governed over a state? They're both inexperienced in THAT sense... That small town you mention of being in financial ruin probably wasn't even her fault.. Just the media trying to make her look bad. :| I think he understand the economy pretty well and wants it to remain capitalistic...
Yeah and before Clinton left around 1999 there was a recession from the dot com bubble burst but when Bush Jr. came to office and the recession was still there, he was blamed for it. Also... It wasn't Clinton's superior knowledge of the economy that saved anyone... Sure he did good at balancing the budget, but the reason why the economy was booming was because of Regan's policies. See things take time to see any effect from and it was the effects of Regan's policies that had the economy booming in the 90s. A lot of people do NOT like Obama's economic plans... The owner of the Miami Dolphins has put the team up for sale so he didn't have to pay Obama's higher taxes... “He wants to double the capital gains tax, or almost double it,” Huizenga said. “I’d rather give it to charity than to him.” My god, I just laugh everytime I watch the news and see how badly they try to destroy Palin. For no reason at all, just because of her beliefs and that's absolutely ridiculous! What they're doing to her is appalling. They don't agree with her so they try to destroy her. I'm not a huge supporter of her and I don't really think she's anything great, but I can see through the moronic media. And what's with this Joe the Plumber? The media tried to destroy him too. A REGULAR WORKING AMERICAN that doesn't like Obama's economic plans so they try to find dirt on him. Wtf?! Too bad they couldn't find anything... :| |

I tried out the Sixaxis tutorial they have on the game... It's kind of weird... I could control the bikes and boats with the tilting, but I was all over with the helicopter. It's fun for once in awhile or just to see what it's like, but motion controls just don't work in this game like they do WarHawk. |

I agree, I liked the PS2 version too. Wasn't the best, but not bad. I don't know why the critics bashed it so much.... Even my friends who were hardcore Halo fans liked it. The PSP version was good too. My favorite thing about Killzone is the art direction. It feels like you're actually in a war. The art direction alone is enough for me to play it and see what it's like. |

| Newest and most impressive video of Killzone 2 yet! Guerrilla Games has really kicked some ass in the graphics department... No shooter looks this good. Resistance, Gears, Call of Duty, etc... The only one that could claim has the same great graphics is Crysis. lol I hope the gameplay turns out good though. With their huge budget, it should! Killzone Trailer! |

| Well... I like MGS, but MGS2 was kind of slow for my tastes. Idk, I liked them but I didn't love them like I do action racers and platformers. Now if I had internet, I'd get Warhawk. I loved Tribes on the PC, and this game is similar to that with turrets, aircraft, and jetpacks. I think I've decided to go with Motorstorm Pacific Rift and Resistance 2. MGS4, Ratchet and Clank, Little Big Planet, and Killzone 2 will have to wait. Although I expect Killzone 2 to be my next game if I don't find a job soon and it turns out that I like Resistance. My most anticipated game right now is Twisted Metal PS3 however. It hasn't been given a date or even shown to the public yet, but just think of the possibilities they can explore on the PS3. Like totally destructible environments(TM: Black only had semi destructible environments like shooting glass out of a window on a building) and what not... |

I don't really care about that... If the gameplay's great, the extra long story will make it better. All video games are, are basically interactive movies. I didn't mind the huge cutscenes in MGS2.
Interesting... Can you tell me how fun the story mode was? I don't have internet so I can't download new levels. ![]()
Killzone 2 has the best graphics of any shooter on the new consoles so far. I've played the first one on PS2 and seen videos of the sequel. It's nothing like Halo or Gears. Killzone is realistic, not a alien/monster sci-fi. The thing I like about it is the art direction. It's the only game that immerses you into the battlefield and makes you feel like you're really there. Plus it's the first first person shooter to have a cover system. Although I'm kind of leaning towards Resistance, because I tend to like fantasy over realism. I think I'm definitely leaning towards Motorstorm too. The trailer was awesome and it sounds great. It's kind of like a Burnout Off-Road. |

I love MNC, but... I only have enough money for two or three games and probably won't get the chance to buy more for a long time. $60 is steep for that, imo. I'm looking for something fresh in which I haven't experienced much before.. I probably will rent MC: LA though. |
