Twisted Metal 2012
So the demo came out today! It is slightly over 1.5 gigs. Been playing it a bit with different vehicles offline, haven't tried it online yet. It's pretty awesome though!! Very hard, probably demo difficulty set at hard or something. Anyone with a PS3 should download this NOW!!

Skin Tweaks
I'm not mad but none of them represent a holiday except maybe pumpkin hill. It's not a bad idea though but I never know what skin will be next.

I already gave my opinion on it so I won't be adding much to that but the PS3 version was actually better since it had a year to improve things. ME3 will probably be even on both consoles. I was going to buy ME2 when it came out but decided not to because I'm just not impressed. Maybe I'll give the full game a shot since it's super cheap. That is if I ever find time for it.

-Kingdom Hearts Worlds
The main Kingdom Hearts team is in full force finishing up Final Fantasy Versus XIII and has been for a long time(geeze, it has been 5 years since it was announced and we have beans for info on it). I wouldn't expect a full blown main Kingdom Hearts sequel possibly until the PS4 is out. I just don't see it on this current roster of consoles.

Weird StreetFighter X Tekken characters

I know it would probably look weird to use Megaman from his normal style and turn it into a design like the other characters in the game, but man, that guy wasn't what I was expecting. At all.

Points for originality and surprise, but I'm not sure they'll help.
Apparently it's Mega Man's design from a U.S. box art on some old game. So they already had the template, I just think it looks hilariously bad. lol

Weird StreetFighter X Tekken characters
The exclusive SFxTekken characters are weird, most of them anyway. Cole from inFAMOUS makes sense but then you have "bad boxart Mega Man", Pac Man on a Mokujin wooden robot, and Kuro and Toro. Bad boxart Mega Man is just hilarious though.

Name changes I can sort of agree on, but it can be fun for these theme months we're doing. Besides most of us leave pretty glaring hints as to our usual identities around here. Mine's in my sig and if you hang around the Shack enough you tend to know that I'm known as 'Chaos TH' almost universally. |P

If you want actual discussion about something make a topic about it. Then you don't have to worry about insanity getting in the way of your serious talking time.
I kind of agree on name changes, I think we should put a regulation on it. Once every 6 months doesn't sound too strict. A lot of the time I have to go into actual name history to figure out who the person is.

As for making a topic about it, it doesn't exactly do anything if most people are in the shack anyway. Like I pointed out earlier, the shack can have probably 50+ posts in a few hours while this topic will have one or two or possibly even none in that time.

Yes the Casino is spam but it's spam games. It's made to be forum games not just complete spam with no merit which some of the games in there and the shack have become. It was not supposed to be a topic where people just post a picture and nothing else and it shouldn't be that way any more.

Also Zone V does drop down. Click the expand button on the right corner. You can collapse all of the Zones.

We're talking about how to make it better to spur activity elsewhere and just creating topics hasn't really worked much. As far as people leaving due to removing the shack(which I won't do but possibly will alter the rules of it), it really wouldn't do much to the rest of the board. It would just make the casino area die. Again, in that particular scenario.

Sonic 4: Episode II
Sonic 2 is longer than Sonic 1 but they're both still short games. People complain about paying $60 for an 8 hour game now days(gamers are such disgusting and ungrateful people today) when I got Sonic & Knuckles(NOT S3&K) for $70. Games were shorter and more expensive back then, coupled with the fact that money was worth more too. Just be glad Sonic 4 didn't cost $70.

It's not gone, it's just been moved for some reason. Metallix appears to be doing one of his random shuffles.

You'll find it in Section V - Other Amenities. Basically right at the bottom of the forum.

As for spurring activity I really don't know what you can do. People will only want to talk about stuff they want to talk about and even then you can only carry a discussion on something so far before its tailwind patters out and the S.S. Topic comes to a halt.

Also I do enjoy what the Shack is. Sometimes people talk causally about their day, other times they just let their hair down and go nuts. Sometimes we all need a place to do that and frankly there just isn't anywhere else in the forum where you can do that without getting in trouble. Sometimes discussions do take place in there, but they usually only last a few posts and then are never brought up again. It's sometimes view as a general discussion of whatever is on your mind at the time I guess. I'm sure the poster who started it probably didn't even mean for a discussion to come from their statement in the first place. Sometimes it just happens, y'know?

I felt it fit better in "other amenities" rather than "community parlor" since it's just spam. It was moved from Planet Mobius because no one was doing Sonic-themed games and community parlor was just the wrong place to put it. Funny how it was only moved a few inches down and it still got lost. lol

I realize people will only talk about what they want to talk about and that is apparently spam. I mean I liked the idea for the shack until it devolved into this "post 50 pictures with no words" kinda place... Whatever... Honestly if we removed the casino park and the activity from that section, this place would be a ghost town.

Sure it adds length by simply having you die and start over but in actual amount of game like zones and what not I don't think Sonic 1 had any more zones/levels than Sonic 4.

Okay.
That doesn't mean it's shorter, it means it's easier. It is possible to beat Sonic 2 in under an hour. I can do it in just over an hour and the PSN version even has a trophy for clearing it in under an hour.

There's enough notifications on there. When someone posts an entry, their blog moves up to the top.
So far that's the best we got. There aren't any codes for it but ZB have said they are working on making blogs more accessible. Whenever that finally gets implemented is anyone's guess.

My own opinion on this matter. Late but if I may. My own toots on the situation

I kimda have to agree with others on 'not much interest' in the Sonic sections. I mean, I try to post Sonic news from my twitter feed and discuss but I'm not all that interested in discussing 'Most ____ character/moment' or odd bugs and glitches of the sort. Personally(I made sure to read the entire topic before posting fyi), I think the not enough activity in the Sonic sections is the usual he's struggling idea. I mean, I know some people here aren't total Sonic fans nowadays but still love going to this forum. Gotta remember Sonic doesn't have a cartoon now and comics in general are dying out as well. :V

I'm against a complete removal of the Shack as well. I go on and off of the place as I get busy, but it's a nice place to go to for some casual talking with people. Some craziness I admit but I still like it. But it seems it's decided that removing it won't do much?

I like Maelic's ideas too. Clans and stuff sound really neat. *nod*
Also, since we're talking about activity(not sure if it's related to this subject) but if we want to spice up activity, whatever happened to the idea Ninty, Sony, etc., boards where a few people can constantly post news topic about said companies? I thought we discussed that once before but dunno what happened to it.

And for RPing, well... we had this new tournament but it's kinda... well... :V (No offense, MoD and D-Metal).
And I work pretty hard on my RPs, people. ;-; I'm busy with many things now, but I try to make them as interesting and original as possible when I do make one. ;-;).

I like what the shack is supposed to be, I don't like the monster it has become. It's not a place to just casually talk about your day or whatnot, it's now just spam and even discussions that NEED to be in their own respective topics to be discussed. I feel like people are lazy, it's not that there isn't anything they want to discuss it's that they only look at the first topic or don't even go into those forums at all. Maybe a complete forum restructuring is in order? Like changing the complete layout?

And dude, one of the sections that's really dead is the game section. Adding forums just for Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, etc isn't going to spur any activity there. No one talks about ANY of it. Unless it's Pokemon and Pokemon discussion has died almost all together as well.

I won't be doing that unless it's supported/has interest. On a side-note, this is just a random thought I had, but I find the whole "nothing that our members are interested in discussing" logic utter fail. If that were the case, I guess this forum is just full of dull people not interested in anything? The fact that there are always tons of people in the Shack and it takes hours for someone to reply here is proof enough that that idea is not true.

I think Sonic Generations is what 4 should have been. Episode I was an alright game, but very short and we have waited a while for II now, so I hope it turns out fine.
It really wasn't any shorter than the classic Genesis games though and I agree with Generations being what S4 should have been. I hope Episode II looks awesome with its new graphics engine. Episode I just looked weird, imo.
