Japan's third-largest convenience store chain, FamilyMart Co Ltd, said it plans to open more stores in China in the next financial year than in the current year to February, eyeing growth outside its saturated home market.</p]
FamilyMart plans to add a net 130 stores in China this year for a total of about 330.</p]
It will also add 400-500 stores in South Korea annually for the next three to four years, the company said Monday.</p]
The chain said it plans to decide on the future of its US business by the end of the next financial year.</p]
FamilyMart has about 7,600 stores in Japan and 7,900 overseas, including South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand. It also opened its first store in Vietnam last week.</p]
